The decision was whether to knock down the existing residence and start again or use the existing structure and renovate. After a close inspection the existing low set double brick residence seemed to be structurally adequate for the proposed additions.
With the removal of all internal walls and garage allowed for creation of the desired bedroom and living room sizes.
A second storey was also added to house the master bedroom, en-suite and walk in wardrobe. The second level captures the cool breezes with the elevation.
The external of the existing house was smooth rendered and the second storey Linea cladding. Large timber posts and beams were used throughout the internal and external of the house including the large rear covered veranda overlooking the plunge pool.
A new double garage was constructed next to the new house, with rendered lower section and timber clad upper section to keep the same look as the house.
