The idea of this new house construction was to create a Queenslander style house with a modern feel. This was achieved by designing a traditional floor plan with wide wrap around decks and french doors leading from the bedrooms and living/kitchen/dining areas to the deck. On the top floor are 3 bedrooms and an office with a separate parents retreat with walk in robe and ensuite, along with a laundry and open plan kitchen/living/dining. The bathrooms incorporate floor to ceiling tiling, with bisazza mosaic features. A free standing bath along with large shower areas and custom wall hung vantites give the modern feel to the house. There are high raked ceilings in the living/kitchen/dining area, a large entrance and a dorma window above a 1200 wide timber front door with louvre sidelights create a grand entrance. Spotted gum flooring was laid throughout the top floor to give a traditional feeling to the house.
